As of April 30, 2025, the TaxisNet online portal in Cyprus is open for the submission of personal income tax returns for the 2024 tax year. This was officially announced by the Cyprus Tax Department under Ministerial Decree No. 384/2024.
Who Must File a Tax Return:
- Individuals (employees and pensioners) whose gross income for 2024 exceeds €19,500.
- Self-employed persons, even those not required to submit audited financial statements.
- Foreign nationals who are not tax residents of Cyprus but receive income in Cyprus, including income from officially declared property rentals. Such individuals are obligated to file a tax return and pay tax on income earned within the Republic of Cyprus.
Filing and Payment Deadlines:
- For most individuals — by July 31, 2025.
- For self-employed persons required to submit audited financials — by March 1, 2026.
How to File Your Tax Return:
- Register or log in to the TaxisNet system.
- Complete the appropriate tax return form.
- Review and submit the return online.
- Pay any tax due by the applicable deadline.
Important Notes:
- Late filing or payment may result in penalties and interest charges.
- Even if you are not a tax resident, you must declare income earned in Cyprus, such as from renting out a property.
- We recommend filing early to avoid potential technical issues as the deadline approaches.
